Shake right hands, left hands under
As couples, circle counterclockwise (man has left shoulders to circle center)
At count 8, turn women under with hands still joined
As couples, circle clockwise (man has right shoulders to circle center)
Advance and Retire as Couples
Head couples advance and retire (side couples continue dancing)
Side couples advance and retire (head couples continue dancing)
Head couples do-si-do; return home; right hand turn partner; left hand turn
Side couples do-si-do; return home; right hand turn partner; left hand turn
Weave
Right hand to your partner and weave with hands around entire circle to home
Trios
Head couples take woman from side couples and form trios with man in center
(side men remain in place)
Trios advance and retire; advance and retire
Snake: Man in center takes woman on right thru arch with woman on left
Man turns under. Woman on left goes under. Woman on right goes under.
Side man joins trio on right and circles right and left
Side couples repeat the sequence above
Top man joins trio on his right and circles left and right
Stationary Arches with Single File
Top couples form arches facing audience
Side couples form straight line in center and goes through each arch and back home
Inside/Outside circle - Ladies Interlace
Right to your partner and pull past with left to next person in circle
Men take that lady home turning counterclockwise
Ladies go behind man and move clockwise to wrong side of next man
Head ladies go home; Side ladies go home
Moving Arches with Couples
Head couple form arches and move counter clockwise
Side couples move clockwise underneath the arches
Ending
Side couples split and go to nearest top couple arch (holding hands)
Form two lines of four facing each other (front line has back to audience)
Advance and stay in place (do not retire) and join hands with person next to them
Shake right hands, left hands over
Couples facing audience move outwards (others stay in place)
Couples with back to audience move outwards and lift hands to face audience
Everyone bows
